Meet the Team
2018-2019 Executive Team
Kayla is a junior civil engineering major participating in the Widener Music Chamber Ensemble. She served as SWE's SGA Representative her freshman and sophomore years before becoming president her junior year. In addition to SWE, Kayla is a member of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Outside of Widener, she is involved in the American Concrete Institute.
Kayla's participation in Girls Scouts instilled in her a passion for the advocacy of women in STEM careers. She enjoys participating in all types of service events and hopes to pursue a job in the getotechnical field and serve as a. Americorps participant with a Habitat for Humanity affiliate, post graduation. |
Shannon is a sophomore biomedical engineering major participating in Widener's 4+1 Masters program. Outside of her participation in SWE, she is also a member of the Pride Activities Council, Biomedical Engineering Society, and has newly vested her Oskin Leadership Institute Certificate.
Shannon loves the motivational power that SWE has on young women through their outreach initiatives and she is looking forward to being a part of this empowering body of women! |
Phebe is a junior electrical engineering major participating in Widener's 4+1 Masters program. She is actively involved in the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, International Club, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Widener Dance Company, and Alpha Omega Epsilon professional and social sorority. Phebe's love for culture and diversity led her on a study abroad to Israel, last spring. Outside of class, she works in the international student services office and serves as a tutor.
What she loves about SWE is the way it brings women engineers together. As a unit, women are able to empower each other to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential. She is honored to be a part of the organization and is looking forward to working on the team. |
Allison is a junior civil engineering major, with a minor in environmental engineering, participating in the co-op program. Outside her participation in SWE, she is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers.
As a leader in the community, Allison wanted to bring her leadership skills for the benefit of other women in the field. She hopes to engage others to enhance their personal and professional growth in the field of engineering. |
Kayla is a sophomore biomedical engineering major. In addition to her involvement in SWE, she is a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society and Alpha Omega Epsilon professional and social sorority. She is also an active participant in Widener Music's Pep Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Wind Ensemble.
Kayla has a passion for assisting those in need. She utilizes SWE as an opportunity to get to know other female engineers and be inspired by her peers and professionals. |
